Headquartered in Bethesda, Md., Seawright Homes was founded in 1972. The company's diversified portfolio of experience ranges across single-family homes, town homes, luxury high rise condominiums and rental apartments. Since 1978, it has been a wholly owned subsidiary of Clark Enterprises, Inc., a family of construction and real estate firms that is among the largest such privately held companies in the United States.

Seawright Homes' president and founder, D. Stephen Seawright, is a second-generation builder. Raised in North Carolina, he has a bachelor's degree in civil engineering, a master’s in business, and has studied law. The company has an enduring commitment to community service. It also believes in active, successful community associations, which it seeks to foster and nurture in each new home community.
